How does a drone show work?

Creating a drone light show is a complex process, combining advanced software, purpose-built drones, and expert designers, pilots, and crew. But at the heart of it all is you—our client.

We work closely with you to design your perfect show, providing simulations and test flights along the way so you can make adjustments.

No design or piloting expertise is needed—just bring your vision, and we’ll handle the rest!

How long does a drone show last?

Our drones can stay in the air for up to 20 minutes, depending on weather conditions. However, we’ve found that the optimal show length is around 10 to 12 minutes. This timeframe allows us to present a stunning display of designs and formations while maintaining excitement and engagement, ensuring your audience remains fully captivated and impressed.

How many drones can I have in a drone show?

We are authorized to fly large-scale drone shows, but an exciting and visually stunning display can be achieved with as few as 25 drones. The choice is yours, and we’ll work closely with you to explore all options and create a show that perfectly matches your vision.

Where can I have a drone show?

Drone shows can be hosted across the UK, provided we secure the necessary permissions and comply with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) safety regulations.

If you have a location in mind, get in touch with us! We’ll evaluate the site and advise on its suitability for a drone display.

What are the weather limits for the drones?

Weather conditions can impact our drone performances. We can safely operate in winds up to 20mph, while rain presents more of a challenge—our standard drones can only fly in very light drizzle.

For events where weather may be a concern, we also offer premium drones with enhanced resistance to wind and rain, providing greater flexibility for your show.

Can I incorporate other mediums like music or fireworks?

We are always eager to explore new creative possibilities and integrate our drone displays with other mediums, whether initiated by us or in collaboration with third parties. Our commitment is to deliver the highest-quality experience, ensuring every show is innovative, seamless, and unforgettable.

What is the cancellation policy?

We have a comprehensive Terms and Conditions document that outlines our cancellation policy along with all key aspects of our collaboration. You will receive this document at the start of our partnership, and we are always happy to discuss any specific details as needed.

Are the shows insured?

While we are fully covered by comprehensive public liability insurance to ensure your safety and peace of mind, we unfortunately do not provide coverage for cancellations due to weather-related conditions. We will, however, work closely with you to assess the best course of action in the event of unforeseen weather.

How much time is needed to create a drone show?

We are required to notify the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) of the location and timing of our drone shows through a Notice to Airmen (NOTAM), which must be submitted at least 28 days in advance. This is our minimum notice period.

However, creating a successful show is a collaborative process that involves several phases. For the best experience, we recommend reaching out to us at least 2 months before the scheduled event date.

What does a drone show cost?

Due to the numerous variables involved in each show—such as the number of drones, the complexity of the design, and the location—we provide a bespoke quote for every event. However, to offer a general sense, our pricing is comparable to that of premium firework displays.
